News from Mrs. Wink's art room:
Many of our 5th grade artists will have their wildlife paintings featured in a display during the month of February at Elmaro Vineyard in Trempealeau, WI. Students will be receiving a letter soon if their art was selected. The exhibit will run Thursday, Feb 5 through Sunday, March 1st during Elmaro's business hours. An artist's reception will be held on Sunday, March 1 from 1-4 p.m. in which students, families, staff, or friends are welcome to see all of the paintings, enjoy some live music, food, drinks, and even purchase some note cards / envelopes with their paintings printed on them. Congratulations to the artists!
5th Graders will be soon trying out the pottery wheel during art class. After all students have had a try at this fun and unique experience during regular class, I will be offering sessions after school for families to come in and try out the wheel with their child, and make some pottery to glaze / take home. More details will go out soon.
4th Graders recently took home their models that they spent several weeks on during art class. I hope you were able to take the time to ask them questions about their model and the process of building it. Many of them spent a lot of extra time at recess working on those to add all of the fun details; I was so impressed with this crew! I hope they are proudly on display somewhere in your home, and if they can't be kept forever, please offer to take a few photographs.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs. Wink
